Basement Wall Repair On A Historic Home In Wapakoneta, Ohio

December 11, 2018

We recently received a call from the owner of a Wapakoneta home built in the early 1900’s. Upon inspection, we discovered that the home was suffering from crumbling basement walls that were falling apart.
To fix this issue, we installed steel beams, which lifted to the house 1/4 inch so we could remove the old, damaged basement walls, the knee walls, and the rear crawlspace foundation walls. Once this was done, we poured a new footer and laid new basement walls and new crawlspace foundation walls.  We also waterproofed the basement with a delta water barrier, installed a sump pit and pump system, and backfilled the repair trench.  The home now sits on a solid foundation that will be stable for decades to come.
